Girls of all ages and their families can find out about the World's Strongest Girl, participate in fun activities and get a sneak peek at new resources. Girl Scouts from all over the council will be part of this action-packed day of sharing, discovering, and fun. Participants will experience the newest Girl Scout journey series "It's Your Story -Tell It!" Building a strong sense of self is an underlying goal of this series, and Girl Scouts will have a sneak peak at this journey during the Brookfield Zoo event. Celebrating girls' self-esteem also is the focus of our newest micro-site for girls, www.WorldsStrongestGirl.org, created in partnership with Leo Burnett This engaging online storytelling tool invites girls to submit creative stories about the World's Strongest Girl and talking badge widgets read the stories aloud. Information about the site will be available at the zoo event. The event includes a zoo scavenger hunt, visits to numerous activity booths, and other hands-on activities. Girl Scout staff will be on hand to discuss all programs, including workshops and activities that focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM), healthy living, arts and culture, financial literacy/entrepreneurship, global awareness, environmental education and outdoor living skills.
