Girl Scout Sunday Mass & Hospitality THIS SUNDAY at 9:30am

Calling All Troops:  This Sunday is Girl Scout Sunday Mass at 9:30.  Please come in uniform about 9:15-9:20 to line up with your troop downstairs.  Girl Scouts are also serving hospitality after all masses.  Any girls who would like to come a bit early (8:50) to serve after the 8am mass are most welcome.

To the Rectory Office:  In case the ushers aren't aware, could you please let them know the Girl Scouts will be processing in, and to save some seats in the front if possible?

Thanks,
Susan

Action Requested: Girls & Leaders needed to host Hospitality Sunday this weekend!

Hello all,
The Girl Scouts are hosting Hospitality Sunday this Sunday (3/20) after all masses.  We are we are expected to run hospitality after the 8am, 9:30, 11am Masses, including clean up.

Your troops can sell cookies in the lower church on this Sunday.  Julie Andersen has been kind enough to set up and do the shopping.  We do need to make sure we have at least 5 girls with 1 or 2 adults per Mass.  Please contact Julie at (ander9696@aol.com) to sign up your troop for hosting and selling for one more masses.

Thanks!

We are joining forces with our service unit (includes St. Ed’s, St. Cornelius, Forest Glen First Congregational Church) to coordinate a very informative, thought-provoking, valuable workshop in honor of Girl Scout Thinking Day.  Last year, this workshop was held at St. Ed’s – this year it will be at Forest Glen First Congregational Church.  The theme is “empowering girls will change our world” -- it will be a different format and program than last year.

We will be looking for adult volunteers to help on the day of event.  Please let Linda Graziano know if you are interested (linda@corpevent.com).

Help Spread the Word - Save Girl Scout Camp River Trails in Sheridan, IL!

Hi everybody,

Mary's Cadette Troop 20716 spent a wonderful weekend recently at Camp River Trails in Sheridan, IL.   They got word that this terrific property may be closing, and decided to take action by creating a blog.  Please have a look at the blog and consider spreading the word via email, Facebook, or Twitter if you think it is worthwhile.  It would be a terrible shame if this property were no longer available to Girl Scouts and other groups.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.
Sincerely,
Susan
