Got Cabin Fever Yet? 'Sno Problem! The Father-Daughter Dance is ON for Friday Night!

The Dance is ON for Friday night, 7-9:30pm, at Buckley Hall (the gym).  Come on out and dance the cold away tomorrow night.  Thanks again to all the volunteers who have signed up to help, and we'll see you there!

Dance Update: It's a Raffle!

Hi there.  We thought it over and decided a raffle would work better than a contest for the dance this Friday.  So - check out our awesome Raffle when you come to the dance, for a chance to win an excellent Gift Basket filled with amazingly fun items, brought to you by the most fun store in the world, American Science and Surplus, 5316 N. Milwaukee (www.sciplus.com).  Items include:  Grow your own real Amethysts Kit, Paint your own Glow-in-the-dark Solar System, Jumbo Roll of Crime Scene-Do Not Enter Caution Tape, See-through Calculator, and much more!  Raffle tickets will be sold at the dance and are priced as follows.

Calling All St. Ed's Girl Scout Parents: We Want YOU for this Friday's "Revenge of the Nerds" Dance!

Hey Moms,
Come and get your nerd on for this event - "Revenge of the Nerds!" - this Friday, Feb. 4.  Even the DJ is coming dressed as a nerd.  It's going to be a total blast.  (Troop Leaders, please forward this to your own parents if they're not included on this email).

To make this event a success, we could really use a little help from you for the following roles:
-- Balloon Picker-Upper on Friday afternoon (from Party City - prepaid)
-- Ice Queen (picking up ice on the way to the party)
-- Snackmistress (picking up bags of snacks at Aldi, Sam's or Costco beforehand, if you have a membership card - I'll get you types & quantities)
-- Decor Crew (2):  Meet at the gym around 3pm to decorate if there are no practices.  Ms. Rosasco's 6th graders will set up tables & chairs.
-- On party night (6:30-9:30), we'll need:
    Photo/Frame people (2-3)
    Check-in Table (2)
    Raffle Table (1)
    Soft Drink Station (2)
    Floaters (2) - checking ice, refilling snack trays, etc.

Please contact me ASAP if you're willing to lend a hand next Friday.  You can either volunteer for a specific job or just let me know your availability and I'll assign you a role.  It really is easy if we share the effort - and totally worth it for such a fun night.
